2002-07-23 - 7:25 a.m. If the moon loved rock as much as it loves water we might have tides made of land. The beaches would slip under the froth at shoreline to expose special water, water we wouldn't usually see beause it would be covered up by shoreline for most of the day. At moments like this the beaches' only waves would be waves goodbye. And there would be rumbles because land can't move without noise. But the rumbles wouldn't bring dread, they would be standard in our lives. Like sunsets and sunrises. If the moon pulled land like water we would be aquatic creatures, seeking refuge and what moved less- water. Webbed feet would be today's sunken cheeks. Don't be a mouse, be a lion
