2002-04-16 - 10:57 a.m. as we drove down the hill the bay opened up in front of us. at horizon the sun had fallen below the cloud line so the rain fell as if it was not clear liquid but the result of the splintered explosion of ten trillion oranges hidden somewhere above the clouds. the sun diffused in the haze in pale pastels and the glow was like something atomic that destructs with color not force but nothing could be destroyed. birds moved like amoebas and went white flourescent as they banked and turned to expose their white wings to the west. this moment was so incredible that i now doubt it ever happenned. but it did. i could not imagine something so beautiful unless i remember what i saw that evening. Don't be a mouse, be a lion
